Ian Copsey

Ian Copsey, a specialist for Bridge and a technical analysis instructor for the Kyodo News Service in Tokyo, began his career in markets thirteen years ago working for a British clearing bank. In 1988, Ian assumed responsibility for the bank’s technical analysis in Hong Kong. He later returned to London to establish a dedicated technical analysis desk for the bank. Ian began working for Dow Jones Telerate in August of 1993. Since then, he has developed his own momentum indicators and created Momentum Bands. Ian emphasizes using various forms of market analysis, rather than relying on a single approach, in order to strengthen forecasting techniques. He teaches this approach at regular seminars in a number of Asian cities.
